How to make a meme without a watermark
Canva and Adobe Express export memes without a watermark if you use only their free elements. Imgflip, Kapwing, Supermeme.ai, and Rotware add one to free image exports; Rotware's MP4 video editor exports clean even on the free plan, and Pro ($9/month) removes the mark from images and GIFs.

Why meme tools watermark free exports
A watermark is how free tools pay for hosting and get discovered when memes spread. It is usually a short domain name in a corner.
Cropping a watermark off is unreliable on memes because captions often run to the edges, and the result looks cut off.
Removing the watermark on Rotware
Rotware Pro removes the "rotware.app" mark from image and GIF exports for $9/month or $90/year. Video memes made in the MP4 video editor never carry it, even on the free plan.
Pro Plus ($29/month) lets you place your own handle as the watermark instead, which is useful for meme pages that want credit when their posts get reshared.
Frequently asked questions
Which meme generator has no watermark for free?
Canva and Adobe Express do not watermark free elements. Most meme-specific tools, including Imgflip, Kapwing, and Supermeme.ai, watermark free exports. Rotware watermarks free images and GIFs but not MP4s from its video editor.
Does Imgflip remove the watermark for free?
No. Removing or customizing the imgflip.com watermark requires a paid Imgflip plan.
Can I add my own watermark to memes?
Yes. Rotware Pro Plus and Supermeme.ai Startup support custom watermark text.
