Family Guy Louis Pills meme template: A compact Family Guy still shows Lois Griffin seated at a table, looking with a strained, tempted expression toward an oversized prescription bottle in the left foreground. The active template has a blank top caption band and a blank bottom caption band; the bottle label itself is not a separate editable slot.

Family Guy Louis Pills Meme Template

This still comes from the “Prescription Heroine” episode of Family Guy, which aired March 27, 2022. In the story Lois is struggling with prescription pain medication; the meme usually repurposes her gaze at the bottle to represent a person eyeing something they are trying to resist. Know Your Meme traces a viral captioned use to an August 7, 2022 Twitter post, where the bottle was relabeled by the meme maker. The current Rotware asset instead supplies only top and bottom caption bands, so its captions should adapt the same temptation-versus-resistance idea without assuming the bottle label can be edited. Keep jokes directed at everyday urges or fictional situations; do not trivialize addiction or present medication misuse as advice.

How the joke works

Slot 1 (top) sets up the person, situation, or resolve: they are trying to avoid or resist something. Slot 2 (bottom) names the salient temptation or cue that makes resisting difficult, ideally a concise concrete thing that the image’s bottle can visually stand in for. The two captions should make the conflict clear and recognizable. Adapt the convention to the top/bottom slots; do not rely on putting words on the bottle because this template has no bottle-label slot.

  1. Top caption: establish who is resisting what, or state their resolve/avoidance attempt.
  2. Bottom caption: identify the tempting cue or object that makes the resolve difficult.

Caption examples

Example that works
  1. ME TRYING TO LOG OFF FOR THE NIGHT
  2. ONE NEW WORK NOTIFICATION

The first line sets a resolve to disconnect, while the second provides the irresistible cue the image makes visible.

Example that misses
  1. LOIS IS SITTING AT A TABLE
  2. THE ROOM IS YELLOW

Literal scene description does not use the image’s recognizable temptation-and-resistance tension.

Situations it fits

  • trying not to check notifications, messages, or work after hours
  • resisting a familiar snack, shopping urge, or procrastination habit
  • a recurring temptation that undermines a stated resolution
  • self-deprecating jokes about distraction or overindulgence, without mocking substance use disorder

When this format does not fit

  • Do not encourage taking prescription medication outside medical directions or make light of real addiction and withdrawal.
  • Do not use unrelated captions; the lower caption must be the temptation or cue that challenges the setup.
  • Do not write a bottle-label punchline as if the label were an editable slot; the active template only has top and bottom caption bands.
  • Do not confuse the Family Guy episode’s 2022 source with the meme’s viral spread later in 2022.
