Jack Nicholson The Shining Snow Meme Template

This frame represents Jack Torrance after he becomes lost and freezes in the hedge maze at the end of Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film The Shining. In meme use, the extreme frozen, defeated image exaggerates everyday waiting, cold, burnout, indecision, or a task that has gone on too long. The humor comes from an ordinary trigger ending in a dramatically depleted state.

The catalog image is a centered close-up of Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance, frost-covered and slumped in deep snow, with snowy branches behind him. No text is baked into the image. Two active caption boxes are positioned across the top and bottom, leaving the face visible in the center.

Use the top slot for the task, wait, or condition that is wearing someone down. Use the bottom slot for the elapsed-time payoff or a short description of the resulting frozen/defeated state. Keep it darkly comic and mundane; the image supplies the bleak reaction.

1. Top setup: name the ordinary task, delay, or condition that begins the ordeal.
2. Bottom payoff: show the elapsed time or the narrator’s exhausted, frozen aftermath.

• a supposedly quick task drags on for hours
• waiting for an update or reply becomes absurdly long
• cold weather or a delay leaves someone metaphorically frozen
• a confusing task ends in dramatic exhaustion
