Blank Kermit Waiting Meme Template
Put the promised event, expected reply, or task at the top; use the lower caption for the long, still-unresolved wait or resigned payoff. The four photos suggest time passing, but there are only two text fields, so do not write one line per pose. Example: “They said the update would be ready shortly” / “I have now watched the pond, the waterfront, and an entire rainstorm.” The exact source of this photo collage is not verified; avoid naming a show or episode without evidence.

What the Blank Kermit Waiting meme means
Put the promised event, expected reply, or task at the top; use the lower caption for the long, still-unresolved wait or resigned payoff. The four photos suggest time passing, but there are only two text fields, so do not write one line per pose. Example: “They said the update would be ready shortly” / “I have now watched the pond, the waterfront, and an entire rainstorm.” The exact source of this photo collage is not verified; avoid naming a show or episode without evidence.
A four-image collage of Kermit in quiet poses (fishing, sitting, leaning, looking through rain-streaked glass); two caption fields bracket the visible wait.
How the joke works
Expected event or promised short delay → prolonged, patient, or unresolved waiting payoff.
- Name the event, response, or outcome being waited for.
- Show the prolonged wait, missed expectation, or dry resignation.
Caption examples
- Support said they would reply shortly
- I have now watched the weather change twice
- Kermit is fishing
- Kermit is sitting (literal panel descriptions without a relatable wait)
Situations it fits
- waiting for a reply that said “one sec”
- a download stalls near completion
- waiting for a game release or queue
- checking the oven while food cooks
- waiting for a group to pick a place
When this format does not fit
- Assuming four editable captions because the collage has four photos
- Unrelated top and bottom statements with no waiting relationship
- Inventing a precise source show/episode for the collage
- Using energetic/action captions that ignore the still, patient mood
