Cuphead Flower Meme Template
Use the angry top panel for condemning someone else’s behavior, then let the smiling lower panel reveal that you do the exact same thing when it benefits you. The contradiction is the joke. Keep both lines about the same behavior so the hypocrisy is obvious; the flowers provide the rage-to-calm reversal.

What the Cuphead Flower meme means
Use the angry top panel for condemning someone else’s behavior, then let the smiling lower panel reveal that you do the exact same thing when it benefits you. The contradiction is the joke. Keep both lines about the same behavior so the hypocrisy is obvious; the flowers provide the rage-to-calm reversal.
Two Cuphead-style frames of a flower: a menacing screaming form above and a small smiling form below.
How the joke works
Top angry field condemns a behavior in someone else; bottom smiling field reveals the speaker’s self-serving exception.
- State the behavior the speaker angrily condemns in others.
- Reveal the same behavior being excused or enjoyed when the speaker does it.
Caption examples
- People who order fries and steal yours are monsters
- Me taking exactly seven fries from my date’s plate
- I hate pineapple / I love pizza (no hypocrisy or matching behavior)
- The flower is angry / the flower smiles (only describes panels)
Situations it fits
- mysterious red warning is a routine reminder
- pet makes a terrifying noise then yawns
- huge alert count is test notifications
- ominous game sound is menu music
When this format does not fit
- Two unrelated reactions rather than one exposed double standard
- Putting the calm self-serving exception first
- Inventing Cuphead dialogue instead of captioning the contrast
